Dr. Argintar’s distinguished career includes serving as Assistant Director of Sports Medicine at MedStar Washington Hospital Center for over a decade, Assistant Professor of Clinical Orthopaedic Surgery at Georgetown University Medical Center, and Clinical Instructor at The George Washington University Hospital. A proud D.C.-area native, he earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, completed his residency and internship at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, and underwent fellowship training in sports medicine and upper extremity reconstruction at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California.
A former collegiate lacrosse player at Tufts University, Dr. Argintar brings his passion for athletics to his practice, caring for athletes at all levels, including professionals. He previously served as Assistant Team Orthopaedic Surgeon for the Washington Nationals and Washington Wizards.
Dr. Argintar is an accomplished researcher and has authored over 60 peer-reviewed articles. He remains at the forefront of orthopedic advancements, performing cutting-edge procedures such as minimally invasive anterior hip replacement, ligament reconstruction using Internal Brace technology, ACL repair, and kinematic knee replacement.
When he’s not advancing the field of orthopedics, Dr. Argintar enjoys spending time with his family and his dog, Hairy. A die-hard Washington Commanders fan, he is deeply rooted in the D.C. community.
